- Account Information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address. Apple users may choose to hide their email, in which case we receive a private relay address. We do not store your password.
- Location Data: With your permission, we use your device location to provide local parking rule context. Location is used only at the time of a check and is not stored.
- Date and Time: The current date and time is sent alongside each check to determine whether time-based parking restrictions are currently active. This is not stored.
- Photos: Photos you take or select are sent for analysis. Images containing inappropriate content are automatically rejected and never stored. A compressed thumbnail of accepted checks is stored in your account history.
- Check History: Verdict results and photo thumbnails are stored in your account history. Free accounts retain up to 3 checks; Pro accounts retain unlimited history.
- Usage Data: Total check counts and app preferences such as theme settings.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide parking restriction verdicts based on your photo and location.
- To enforce daily usage limits on the free tier.
- To maintain your check history.
- To improve our Services by analysing usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Photos are sent to Google Gemini solely for analysis and are not retained. We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and check history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data including photos is permanently deleted within 30 days.
7. Data Security
All data is transmitted using TLS encryption. We use Firebase Authentication which handles credential security. No security system is completely infallible.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access: View your check history in the app or request a full copy of your data by contacting us.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data permanently via app Settings. Alternatively, contact us to request deletion.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests as a legal basis.
- Data Portability: Request a structured, machine-readable copy of data you have provided to us.
- Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Location Data
Location access is optional. If granted, it is used only to provide local parking rule context at the time of a check. We do not track your location continuously or store precise location history.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States where Firebase and Google services are hosted.
